SNAKE IN THE GRASS WARNING FOR ALL UNI STUDENTS!

http://lascartasdelavida.com/imagene...ente_chibi.jpg

Both of these are commercial companies that try to persuade people they are part of the Chinese government and "endorsed and approved" by the U.S. government. They are NOT neither. They are both owned and operated by a former Chinese government official told to resign or be prosecuted for corruption.

If you plan to study in China for a post graduate degree avoid CUCAS like the plague and their sister fraud Beijing Chi West which you can read about at Scam.com https://scam.com/showthread.php?7044...34#post1925534 or at https://chinascampatrol.wordpress.co...xpats-say-yes/

More about CUCAS found on line: http://abroadreviews.com/uni-student...y-abroad-fraud. My best friend's brother here in China was scammed by these people and only got a refund after she started taking a video at the CUCAS office and threatened to give it to a CCTV reporter.

There are are many similar but smaller scams that are less famous, so be sure to read the China blacklists here at http://reddit/r/chinascamcentral and http://www.chinascambusters.com,and http://chinascamwatch.org.

Go ahead and use CUCAS as an easy way of comparing and checking out unis, but DON'T apply through them. You should apply directly to each uni using their own websites, and for scholarships apply directly to CSC (China Scholarships Council - this one is a government scheme) or through the British Council, Confucius Institute, etc.

Who are these people? How about an explanation? I would not send anything to anyone related to a China program or job without first confirming who I am communicating with and confirming their title with the university they CLAIM to work for. Why?: http://chinascamwatch.wordpress.com.

As the devil's advocate, every one of the above contacts could in fact be the same person who could be a shady unlicensed recruiter or even worse, an identity thief.

It is just a troll tagging random users into threads in university and relationships sections. Ignore him.

Well, who was he calling a troll? If it was not me then I apologize. If he was targeting his remarks at me then I stand by my last statement. China is a virtual field of land mines. Most people only find a scamwhen one blows up in their face and it is too late. Take a look here http://Reddit.com/r/chinascamcentral. These are just the scams we know about. There are new ones hitting the internet every month.

Not talking about you... talking about the guy who keeps tagging random people.

Thank you Willy Pete

btw... I am from and am living in East Asia and I have known many family members who have been scammed working in China. I know very well what the risks are.

Actually there are thosands of students applied via CUCAS, and most have got admission, including my friends, actually charge doesn't mean scam, and I usually use service to pay them and save my own time. CUCAS seems providing good service and no hidden charges in my friend case at all.
