Switching subjects halfway through first year

    • Thread Starter

hello, I am currently taking SL Chinese A and I find the subject such a struggle (getting 4s despite MASSIVE effort) - I am Malaysian Chinese so my Chinese foundation isn't as strong as everyone else in my class who are all Chinese. I am also not that into lit - I switched from Lit to LangLit in English.

However, my school refuses to let me switch based on the reasoning that HL B would be too easy for me, which I don't think its true. Im really lost and annoyed, what should I do?

What rights do I have as a student when it comes to switching subjects??
