Hi

Has anybody done the Wolverhampton English proficiency test?
How is the test? Is it similar to IELTS?

Thanks

Hi,I know this is a late reply but others may find it helpful. Yes, the test is a lot like IELTS but there is no writing task 1 (describing a graph/chart/table/diagram). Instead, the essay is longer (350 words). Here is the format of the test:

Reading paper 1.5 hours Various IELTS type questions. Answers to be transferred to separate answer sheet.

Writing one essay from a choice of 2. Minimum 350 words.

Listening approx 25 mins. Listen only once. Transfer answers to separate answer sheet.

Speaking approx 15 mins in pairs. General introduction to self talk for one minute on a topic given followed by discussion with other student and interviewer on a separate topic.

Although there aren't any specific materials to practise for WEPE, any IELTS practice will help.

Good luck!
