Is it okay change change Masters degree title?

...in the following way.

I'm going to be doing the MSc Theory and History of International Relations at LSE. Is it okay to shorten this to MSc International Relations on my CV and applications?

I mean the degree is an International Relations degree after all.

Not if LSE run a degree called International Relations. If space is the issue, then MSc Theory and History of IR would be more accurate. If the employer is not a recruiter of IR graduates specifically, ie not working in that sector, then yes, using just International Relations is OK.
