Is it still possible to get an A*???

So for my writing and speaking, i have an overall B so far (135 UMS) and i was wondering if i can get an A* or even a high A if i do well in the listening and reading exam??

Also, any tips for doing really well in my french exams (aiming to get almost full marks).

Many thanks

You need to find out how much UMS the listening and reading exam is worth.

Then find the total possible UMS, my guess is it should be 200.

Then work out what the grade boundaries are. For an A that is 80% so out of 200 you would need 160 UMS.

For an A* I think it's 90% so 180/200.
French is out of 300 ums
To get an A* you need 270 ums
To get an A you need 240 ums
The speaking and writing are out of 90ums each
The reading and listening are out of 60ums each
If you're on 135/180 ums so far you are on a mid B.
To get an A you would need 105/120 possible ums
To get an A* you would need 135/120 possible ums
Therefore the highest grade you can get is a mid A

Thanks

Do you think that the writing and speaking grade boundaries will change or do you think that they will probably stay the same more or less??

Also, do you have any tips to help me achieve an A* in listening and reading?

I think they general change by a point or two but not enough to make an A* achievable without resits or an A unachievable
I'm the wrong person to ask about A*s in French...I got an E on my listening... And an A* on my reading but that definitely wasn't down to any extra work I did since I did almost nothing sorry. Past papers are your friend though for looking at common vocabulary etc. That comes up
