Michael Moore is just too much of a media whore for me. I don't like the tactics he uses to promote his movies, nor do I approve of the convenient editing that he does in creating his message in his movies. I mean, he's entitled to do his own thing in his films, but I don't think they should count as documentaries. I always thought documentaries were supposed to be objective. I mean, they could try to make a point, but they had to also address criticism of their own message.

I think that he is not as left-wing as has been suggested. He is primarily an investigative journalist and he is good at that but I feel that his politics are rather crude. This is possible also because he is aiming his work at a mass audience by why the hell is he so happy to back Kerry? This suggests a latent air of liberalism about him.

I'm just over halfway through 'Stupid White Men' at the moment, and it's very very interesting about how much America is falling apart lol it highlights the arrogance of americans in general and is well worth reading Can't wait to see Fahrenheit 9/11

I'd agree with that, he does get very 'basic' at times and often partcularly skewed (though maybe he's just compensating). He's just being a good capitalist at heart maybe...

(I found Bowling for Columbine quite funny)

He's just as stupid and pathetic as his enemy bigears, but some of the documents and evidence provided in his film was shocking....

I think he's entertaining, but not to be taken to seriously.

Often he'll make quite a few good points in his books/ films. But then he'll go and ruin it by making a number of irrelevent points or backing up his points with rather dubious evidence particularly in terms of statistics.

"Ohhh look at that number isn't it big? That means we need to get George W Bush outta the whitehouse!"

Also I get the feeling that when you've read one of his books you've read them all.

I've not see Farenheit 9/11 but I recall that in Bowling for Columbine there was one bit in which he was comparing number of deaths caused by guns in the US to those in counteries such as Germany and Austrailia. The numbers in fact meant nothing as, of course, the populations of Germany and Austrailia are far smaller than that of the US.

i think he's playing an important part in providing an alternitive viewpoint about politics and all....although i think he does go too far sometimes ruining his valid points by going on and on it seems that its only right that a wide range of opinions is heard so people can make valid decisions
i've head many people criticise the way that he mainpulates things to make his point, which i do agree which in a way but the fact is that he's doing nothing different than the government spin doctors and it seems only fair that both sides of the argument should be allowed to use the same tactics.

i don't like him, if you're really into left wing politics (or any politics) theres a lot of other stuff to be reading.

i don't like the way he tries to force his viewpoint on everything when a lot of his arguments are flawed.

    bah i don't like him

Michael Moore is a propagandist. He is also a socialist (he wants to tax the rich 70%) who uses the USA's capitalist system to every advantage possible. The only people who even bother listening to him are the blindatni-bush crowd who will believe just about anything bad told about Bush. The thinking left and conservatives know that Moore is an moron who skews facts or makes things up altogether to prove his point.

If you want to know the truth about his movie F9/11, Go here:

    59 Deceits in F9/11

I think most people will find it to be an interesting read.
