Kevster! Glad to see your back! How long you planning on staying this time?

Am amused by how that can mean two totally opposite things depending on whether you write "you're" or "your".

You know what ? Yesterday, instead of writing "eat", I wrote "it". I think that was a typo (or dyslexia ?)

If I'm made an offer and have to share my room -I don't mind, actually I first imagined that I'd have to share a room with someone at the uni, lol- I just want that person not to be a maths, bio, physics or other sciences student, lol. I finally got rid of sciences and maths, I just don't want to see an equation somewhere XD. However, a student reading French could be lot of fun ^^.

And what's wrong with Physics students? I'm cooler than you Miss Russian/Arabic

Oh I have nothing against Physics students, lol, but I'll die if I hear about mass again  . Well, actually I love sciences, but I'm so rubbish at, lol, I'm not able to count without a calculator anymore ...

I wouldn't normally have pointed it out - it just seemed like too good a slip of implication to miss!

de.novo
I assumed that was why she hasn't been on recently. Here's hoping that she did.

*lingers suspiciously in the corner*

I was in London, hence my short disappearance. But I'm back to annoy y'all again.

well i got a big fat unsuccessful, so I'll say farewell to you all, and hello to the cardiff forum. It's been nice ....I'm actually gutted, but hey ho.

Me too. Rejected yet again! I'm not going to university this year at this rate unless my appalling interview at UCL was in fact brilliant... which it very obviously wasn't.
Devastated actually :frown:

What did you apply for?
I applied for English Literature. And I obviously totally overestimated myself. What subject did you apply for?
English literature too!! eeek when i rang them yesterday they said that a decision has been made but they cannot tell me over the phone and will have to wait until next week

With no UCAS/AES update im getting too anxious...but i guess no news is good news...right..? :s-smilie::s-smilie:

Well its not bad news! Hang in there, Im sure itll turn out Ok. I felt exactly the same when I'd heard nothing.
this isnt a dig at de.novo but I see that you have 20 in your LNAT. A fair result but my friend, the one I mentioned before, also scored 20 with a fantastic CV and no offense to de.novo much better grades. Yet hes rejected, and he receives feedback saying that his LNAT basically was not good enough. I think its more of a case of he was too good for durham.

Haha I bathe in delusion.

Lol. Maybe he is too good for Durham.

Obviously.
I'm sure the Arabic department has been attacked by Al-Qaeda members and that they can't send me their decision. However, I don't want to ring them up to hear that I'll be rejected. First because I hate phone, because I hate to speak English at phone, and because I'm sure I'll insult the poor staff member in French and will be wild for about a week. And I'm sure everybody wants to avoid such an event, lol.
no I was just calling the admissions process at durham into question, thats all really.

All admissions processes are fatally flawed....
