Most of my friends who got into Durham also got into Bristol but strangely not vice versa... But you will LOVE Durham... Especially Trevs, it is ridiculously friendly. Not tempted by St Andrews or Warwick?
Well, I look forward to the open day! Oh, St Andrews is a possibility - these next 2 weeks are basically seeing those three that I like and deciding. Warwick, however, is OUT. Don't know yet if I got in after my interview, but I hated the place when I went there on the day, so was alarmingly casual in the actual interview. Don't care even a tiny bit. So it's Durham (probably), Bristol or St Andrews (possibly). Basically, I think, it's Durham unless I go there and hate it, in which case I know I have some places I like.
Well the English lady at St Marys gave me her own personal number and said if i didnt hear by tomorrow, i could ring her so only time will tell i guess
2. Departments will consider all applications as quickly as possible but in the interests of fairness some decisions will need to wait until we have received all applications which were submitted by the UCAS deadline.
It wouldn't be fair on the staff to do them before because it would involve all that reading in December when they have their Christmas shopping to do. And it is awfully cold here in January so you can't really summon up the energy to do anything. February alot of the staff have children on half-term which can be really stressful so it wouldn't be fair to put them under pressure.
By March quite a few applicants have given up & gone away. We put them in two big piles and we play a sort of eenie meenie minie mo game. It's much fairer.
Your application has not yet been received by a college. What was it you applied for?
