There are more applicants for History at Durham BUT it doesn't mean it's more competitive.
1) There are more places overall than in Ox
2) Durham "over offers" (i.e. they give out way more offers than they have places in the knowledge some people will reject them or fail to get the grades) whilst Oxford doesn't have to (they know most folk accept Oxford straight away!)

Forget about a smooth ride. I doubt we will get past a couple of steps given my appalling upper body strength. Perhaps a wheelbarrow. That way I can push her up after I gain momentum.

With respect I am the one doing the physics stuff atm. I will judge your momentum :wink:

A sled might work. Or she can ride one of the cows, with a sedan chair on it. Of course assuming that you are not up to it.

Not loving the sound of the wheelbarrow. I think I'd rather walk. Maybe one day when I'm in a really walking mood I'll tackle the St. Aidan's challenge.

Every time I check this thread to see if anyone's got offers, I find that I first have to plough through pages and pages of HMK attacking someone for no apparent reason. How come he hasn't been banned yet? I mean what kind of p***k makes comments like this to someone whose miserable enough already at having waited for months to hear from Durham only to be turned down?

Personal statement, and education probably let you down. You could stick up your PS and I am sure why you did not get in would become apparent.

Why don't you put up your own personal statement if you want to prove a point - although you seem to be the only malevolent person on this forum so you'll probably have to write the slating comments yourself...

That would involved being arsed to dig it out, where as current applicants only have to hit a button on the ucas page. Though if I find it I might ponder putting it up for show, however I suspect then you would just accuse me of rubbing it in...

Castle - nope, nothing yet. Offers from Edinburgh and Bristol but think I would rather head Durham-way.

I think a couple of people have said before that they didnt here until into April.... I'm just so desperate to know! Durham isnt the only one i'm waiting for (especially now i'm being reconsidered for another one) but its the only one i really really care about!
