007, what college did you apply to at Ox? I was pretty peeved I didn't get in, becuase the course looks absolutely fantastic., although I would prefer it to be more political, not that it matters. I expected to get rejected becuase of a lack of A-level History on my UCAS form but what the heck, worth a bolt. Apparently, it's the second toughest course to achieve an offer for,(15%) just above medicine which is 14%. Did you get interviewed at two colleges?
I applied to Wadham. I was a bit annoyed as well, but onr eflection, I probably didn't deserve it. I applied for History + Politics, so would have got the politics bit anyway.
Nope, just got interviewed at Wadham (which is how I knew I wasn't getting in), but I had a great time, they asked me to stay for 5 days just for two 15 minutes interviews. Was like a holiday camp!
I take it from that it's tres difficult. Why two warnings?
I wrote a 4-letters word which rhymes with duck, lol. But I wrote it inside out (errr, don't know if "inside out" works here") The program isn't actually difficult. It's just that there are loooots of stuff to learn and teachers want us to be incredibly precise when it's time to write dissertation.

lol 5 days, bloody long. What stuff did they question you on? Did you do A-level History and Politics? what grades have you got?

Er, can't remember too many questions. History was mainly about the essay I submitted (which was on the Russian revolution) and some generic historiography questions. Politics interview was very theoretical, about 'trust', 'responsiblity', and a bit of Cold War game theory as well. Was challenging, but not impossible, they ease you through it. Where did you apply?
Yeah, I do History and Politics, I was predicted AAAa when I applied, so that's what I'm going for.

whats your third A-level? How did you find the HAT about the renaissance and all that? Twas tough. I applied to Queens, No interview = FAT JUICY REJECTION. Did you get all *'s at GCSE?

I thought the HAT was OK, I was rather pushed for time, but I made it to interview I guess, so I must have done OK. That's a shame you didn't get an interview though, I think they should interview everyone and just use the HAT scores as one of the criteria. I got 6A*s, 4As at GCSE which was pretty rubbish compared to most of those I was being interviewed with, but such is life.

those results are nout to be ashamed of. Spose other intervieews were churning out more *'s than they could physically count. Aw well, you going to take Durham?

Yeah, I think so, too scared to firm it at the moment though! You as well? What college?
lol, no, didn't apply to Durham, I like socialising too much. Prob off to KCL, but like yourself, have not got the balls to firm it yet on UCAS, speaking of UCAS, I have not logged in in donkeys.

Actually when I applied it was History and English with the lowest percentage at 13%. haha. And I thought I should give it a shot. Delusion is a funny thing

Hello.... i'm the girl who is geographically challenged..... had no idea where Switzerland was before we moved here, thought Geneva is a channel island off the english coast and thought vienna was in Italy......
So i might not be the best person to ask but i think its an island in the Indian ocean, just a little way past Madagascar (which is a real place). Its very nice but sadly it's where my mother married the biggest tosser on the planet so it holds painful memories for me now.
