snap! i am so bored of seeing ' your application has been sent for consideration' and the blank spot at the top of the column

I'm fed up of waiting and want to go to bed but i'm staying up for my american friend.... regretting offering to do it now, but i know she'd do the same for me

My friend is waiting for Harvard's decision ... :s
And I'm doing the same, lol
Did you apply to the US?

Harvard comes out tomorrow (for my friend at least)

She's had acceptance to Cornell and Tufts, a no from Stamford and tonight we're waiting for columbia and upenn

I WANT DURHAM!
3min left actually for Harvard, lol.
And I didn't, I'm not that crazy XD, if I can't even get into Durham, I'd never ever get into an Ivy League uni nor a US uni actually ... SAT would kill me

Goodness me... I go away for 5 days, and there's 21 pages to catch up on! There was an awful lot of talk about ducks...

As for a name, how about, "The Cancan And Nakedness Association of the Residents of Durham". It ties in nicely with other themes when you look at the abreviation. CANARD...

Oh, and also, no news as of yet...
We (anatheme and i) have decided over msn to add a new part to the plan:

Marion | Je lis tes sourires ... says:
We could create a Duck-Duck dictionnary ^^

Marion | Je lis tes sourires ... says:
LOL

~* FaIrY *~ says:
yes we should create a duck dictionary

~* FaIrY *~ says:
and hit the Durham admissions department with it until they hurry up and sort my application (And change yours!)

Marion | Je lis tes sourires ... says:
héhéhé

Marion | Je lis tes sourires ... says:
Good idea, we should add it in the BANNED

~* FaIrY *~ says:
indeed

Because you love us?

Do you see the post when i pointed out that if i get into Durham i dont prove you're theory in the slightest?
And why I'm on it while I should be hanging on Exeter or Manchester ones ???
You know what ? To all of those lucky Durhamers-to-be, I'll try to go to Durham at least once next year, and we'll have like a BANNEDuck party, ok ??? I'll bring French wine, champagne, Breton beers, chouchenn and cider and food.

emh the banner was a joke, thats all. Unfortunately, my social life would grind to a halt at Durham, I couldn't have that.

It just proves the well-known fact that sometimes a super LNAT can boost an average application or a fab application can make up for an average LNAT. But if you get a quite good/ good LNAT you do need to have a wicked application all round. Clearly kevster's mate didn't. I reckon Swiss_Fairy does

Yes i'm sure thats what you were doing  Awww, well i'm sure you'll be getting a + rep off me for being the only Durham thread person to talk to me when i'm bored (even if you're not applying there ) Nope don't think i'll be trying Cam again, Durham is fine by me  even better than fine, i think the whole going to Cam thing was a bit of a dream life that i'd never actually be comfortable with tbh, but it was fun to dream while it lasted anyway.

Nope not back to school until 8th April  and i do English Lit, History, Spanish and English Language, how about you?

Btw were the warnings from that Bristol + Durham / Oxbridge applicants thread!? I think i may have seen you on that, i couldn't even be bothered trying to argue with people, they didn't make any sense

yes, they were from that thread, I'm walking a tight rope now ( la corde raide anatheme?) 6 more and im hittn the sidelines 4 another 2 weeks:frown: :frown:

Aww thanks!

Or maybe my "extenuating circumstances" will help me? (NOT that what happened is an excuse in any way at all)

Where do you live at the moment then kevster? Northern Ireland is not what I'd describe as a particurlarly "kicking" place. haha.
And how can you have no social life living with thousands of other students, in a nice college atmosphere with loads of places to drink within two minutes walk of your door? People are so ignorant about "nightlife". Honestly, I've been out in London, Ediburgh, Birmingham etc. and I can see why it's appealing but you never know anyone. Isn't that what clubbings about?! Meeting loads of people you know, being introduced to new faces. Otherwise it's just drinking alone and dancing close to strangers... nice....

Do you know their grades? Their personal histories? Their extra-currics? Their work experience? How do you KNOW his PS was any good? Teachers and pupils are **** at knowing what's decent. It could have been a pretentious piece of rubbish for all you know.

how many times have you honestly been out in N.I It's by no means London but it certainly punches above its weight. Nights out in Ireland are always eventful, no matter what part, we haven't got a reputation for nothing, we know how to drink and have a good time. In durham, there is a severe shortage of niteclubs and decent bars and clubs. you'd have seen the whole night scene in freshers week for christs sake. In london, you'll still be boucning around new places well into your last year. Thats the beauty. Durham is very mundane, you don;t want to be confined to your college, you want to go out and meet other people from other uni's and other backgrounds. That is very limited in Durham whether you like it or not. It's your stereotypical North of England City.
