Does anyone else question him being foolish? I don't. By the way swiss_fairy his comments to you were unwarranted, so don't you worry about it dear. I am feeling Hedda.Gabler's and your pain. TSR has made me all emphatic. I wish they would just hurry up and give you both offers!

Not sure about kevster's first account. It just says banned. Usually it says temporarily banned. But the second account says permanently banned. TSR confuzzles me.

You do get a larger loan for London accommodation etc., but I see where you're coming from. I'm holding an offer from UCL at the moment, so if Durham reject me, that's where I'll (gladly!) be heading... but I shudder every time I think of how much it's going to cost me!

I don't think I qualify for any financial help or even loans though :frown:

They're only for UK/EU students and the international scholarships are only available to places like Vietnam, Kenya and Tanzania. (Oh and the USA, nothing for either Australia or New Zealand though!)

!! Haha sorry, its probably not that bad, its just that I've been thinking about my own finances this week and its been a bit of an eye opener haha. Never really had to deal with finances before.

Are you any closer to a decision about where you want to go? Argh it was so hard for me I cant imagine what it must be like living so far away and having to make a decision! Although Im about as decisive as a rock (can they be decisive?.....hmmm) so Im pretty bad at decision making ANYWAY :biggrin:

That's strange. I thought that the fees were the same for UCL and Durham. Well it is for one of the London universities I was looking at. Maybe it has changed. And seriously come to Durham. It is much better in everyway.

I rang the man who i sent the form to today just because i realised it didnt say i could email it back and they want it by tomorrow so i wanted to check that he'd got it.

He had, but he hadnt opened the email yet so he did while on the phone to me and said he'll deal with it asap :biggrin:

Looks like i accidently sped up my application :biggrin:

Dont be jealous tho peops cos it just means my application will now be back into the decision process rather than being stuck in the "what fees is she?" bit.

I'll probably have another million years to wait.

Does anyone know the when Freshers week actually starts? Is it the date shown on UCAS or is it the week before?

If its the week before i have a problem with ALL the unis since my mum is supposed to be in Australia that week...... so wont be able to help me move over :frown:

It's supposed to be a week before term starts. And according to the website the 2008 year starts on 08 October. So, I assume that Freshers Week will start on 01 October. Which would mean you move in a day or two earlier. Something like that. My birthday falls on Freshers Week... interesting...
