Durham Applicants 2008 Thread

I dont want to call them and piss them off tho and have them turn round and go "fine we'll make a decision - NO"

Why cant you use the computer for more than 20 mins?

I tend to find with my sister, if shes refusing to go to bed i tell her mum just sent me a text and shes on her way home - that normally gets her to go to bed!

Its kind of hard with my sisters, because theres on younger one and then the slightly older one has a friend staying over. So they want to stay up but I have to get the youngest to bed, or my mum will kill me for making her overtired. But she wants to play with the others so shes lying there keeping herself awake waiting for them to go to bed!! Its tricky. Theyre all sleeping in the same room too, dont know why, which just makes it even more difficult! Ill try the text thing though, although we have no mobile phone signal here so Ill have to say she rang...sneaky :cool:

Ive been having problems with my head, and I've been having something called 'ice-pick headaches' recently and sitting in front of the computer makes it ten times worse, so thats what my doctor advised. Although Im loaded up with paracetamol and Quiet Life so Im doing Ok so far!! :biggrin:

Yay Wilfred Owen! Our English teacher adores Owen so we spend most of the time doing his poems, we just did The Send Off which was fantastic. Went on a trip to Belgium to see all the war graves and did lots of standing around reading Owen poems, which was atmospheric to say the least. Sassoon is also awesome though. Those two are my favs :biggrin:

Ah, I see what you mean about Durham. Id be scared of that too :s-smilie:

I've just realised i have no idea how to get home from here.

I dont know where the tramstop is in relation to the place i am. AND i'm not going home, i'm going to my bfs which involved a realllllllly long tram ride through france and back into Switz.

I'm so jealous, i really want to go there! I did go to Auschwitz last year though, which was also atmospheric as you might imagine!! :s-smilie:

Google maps is always your friend! I'd never go anywhere on my own if I didn't use google help me get there, go places when I am there, and get back again afterwards!
