Everyone needs to appreciate pashmians for their awesomeness.

Also on the carpette/tapis/moquette debate. I always used moquette for a fitted carpet and tapis for the kind of big rug-like unfitted ones... I was told that was the distinction between them. Meh.

And can I also be a nice carpet too? I have to have lots of injections tomorrow so I require SYMPATHY :frown:

*Jurisprude gives reblet sympathy*

Speaking of pashminas..the only style that annoys me is the Shemagh style. That pattern is reserved for HM Forces dammit!

Nah I'm not a big fan of Shemagh/dogtooth pashminas. Nice normal floral/random patterns are much nicer.

And thanks for the sympathy. I think I have Yellow Fever injection tomorrow too which apparently can make you feel rotten. Boooo!
Still nothing.

Je suis still une carpet.

I dont even care any more.... (thats such a huge lie, i'm just trying reverse psychology which is funny cos thats what class i'm in right now)

You're allowed laptops in your classes? So lucky!
Nah, i'm working in one of the computer labs but my friend is doing the work so i'm sat on here!

We can have laptops in class if we want, but they generally only recomend them for the people who get to use them in the exams cos otherwise we become too used to not writing. Plus theres no wireless connection in the school. They used to have one but people abused it (sat in the playground at weekends or deleberately put bugs on it or something) plus it kept crashing so they changed to wired. Then this year they transfered all the computers at both campus to Citrix.... its been a fun year cos Citrix is crap. ARGH.

Can you tell i'm bored? I'm talking geeky things - my bf would be proud!

I wonder if theres a letter at home from Durham..... maybe i should go home at lunch?

Oh and my friend phoned them yesterday. They said they were waiting for him to return a fee status assesment form but he hadnt received it so they sent him another one and he's sent it back. Maybe we'll hear soon?!?!?!?!?!

Awww we need to get BANNED on the road and make them make a decision!!!

Aww, how were the lessons?

And Amy - my day was *really bad* haha, last day of the holidays so naturally i was trying to get my history essay done all day.... it didn't happen! I've only done about two thirds of it and what i have done is rubbish, but ohwell, not to worry

Horrible. I think I am in the brink of losing my voice. I have to really shout at them to get them to be quiet. Regretting the decision to teach. But the other temp teachers are all nice and the most enjoyable time of the day is just chatting with them. I also have a year 10 class to supervise. Just some sort of project coursework. But they are real nice kids and am able to talk to them like a friend.

And yes, BANNED would be a nice little distraction from all this evil teaching business.

You have probably had the injection by now but yellow fever is rank... i had it when i went to Venezuela. But then i reacted badly and my whole arm swelled up and i vommited everywhere, which isn't normal.. my family were all fine though. Not as bad as the BCG i hear !

I got my meningitis jab yesterday. I hate them!

Anyone else looking forward to October?! :p:

Why is it October. :frown: uni´s here start the end of august. I can´t wait! I hope I can visit Durham before that
Reply 3952
I'm glad it is! Shorter terms then!
Reply 3953
On the other hand, if you're not all up to date with jabs by October, you'll need to have more then.
I had to have an MMR, 'cause I'd only had one jab for mumps, though I'd had two for the others :frown:
That wasn't so nice...
hope you don't feel too bad Reblet :frown: :hugs:
Reply 3954
oh, and you probably won't be so glad of the shorter terms once you get here. It's so boring at home. (except for when you take your youngest sister to the British museum and make her embarrassed to be with you 'cause you're getting overexcited about coins and pottery... then it's lots of fun)

Owwwww...

Actually I'm not feeling too **** considering. Hedda Gabler that sounds AWFUL. Poor you!

I'm fed up of injections :frown: I've had about six thus far and have three more left :frown:
Awww poor Rowena :frown: and poor Emily! That does sound awful! First day back at school today, and so far i've had: a free because english language was cancelled, my usual tuesday 2nd period free, spanish, a free because english lit was cancelled, and now i'm in a free "doing history coursework" What a day  I guess i probably should do some now though...

How is everyone?
still nothing

Still tired.

*The Persian rug accompanies the carpet and lies down as well*
Ooooh classy!

Puts me to shame.

Although if you're a rug and i'm a carpet.... doesnt that make you on top of me?!

Dont tell the boyfriend! :s
