Marion are you still waiting for them to take another look at you?

Yep, but I have no real hope to be reconsidered, and I think I'm more likely to decline them if they finally turn my unsuccessful offer to a conditional one ...

Well, as I'm still an applicant, I guess I'll carry on posting in here. It's not going to feel the same if I'm not able to type "No news" in here every day.

By the way, no news...

Just to warn you, you may get warnings if you post ^ in here. Here is for applicanty questions *proper*.

There is however here: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=505235
or indeed here:http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=135639 for you to chat. Indeed, as someone wiser than I once said, it'd be good to get potential freshlings into the Durham Chat Thread. Who knows you may make friends with 2/3rd years beofre you get here

(Or go to TSR chat! )

Or even better, hope the mods fix their mistake, and sharpish.

I dunno if you'd be able to tell me after only a week. Did you change course or something to nat sci? Cause I was kind of thinking about that, so that i could do maths+compsci ?

Anyway I was just wondering if theres any/how much stuff there is about computer architecture/assembly etc involved int he program? Because drivers/kernel development etc is one of my main areas of interest...

LieDown
Yeah why should we go adn talk in the freshers thread? we're not freshers yet!

The title is freshers 2008, which presumably you will be.

I changed the two comp sci modules I did within Nat Sci to Physics. You could only switch from Comp Sci to Nat Sci with Deans approval, and this would need 3A's at A-level plus approval of all depts involved.

The best place to look is to dig out the individual modules in the faculty handbook, though here is the course outline: http://www.dur.ac.uk/cs.internal/undergrad/modules/

Well officially I'm not an applicant anymore. But the fact they will *hopefully* reconsider my application makes me still being an applicant.

Which means you have about as much chance as being a 2008 fresher as you do of still being an applicant. It really makes no difference.

With the kindest and most generous of thought: Hell hath no fury like a moderator scorned! No-one will complain if you go to the Freshers or the General chat thread.

We will.

Ah, another day gone, no news of Durham. If it is true that some replies come as late as May... I'm not sure I'm going to last that long!

There, that should do for the token comment about the Durham application process.

Sorry to say, but yes it is.

*digs in heels* I've never had a problem with the mods before. I can't see how this is spamming. It's the best thread we have.

SO let's talk about naked can-can dancing to out hearts' content(s).
