I wonder if any current physics students would be able to describe to me what the course is like at durham in terms of teaching, choice of modules, facilities etc.
I don't want to hijack the applicants thread in order to do this (it may be a long post!) but if you have any specific questions about physics at Durham the PM me and I will be happy to answer when I get time.
I did a revision course at St Georges in Harpenden. Nice area - but strange strange strange students.
And to whoever asked... no I don't particularly want to go to Trevs , Mildert sounds much more up my street! Wish I had researched it properly, but I was in a hurry to send off my damn applications
Justin Craig? There's nothing wrong with St. Georges students! (Now take a wild guess which school I went to ) Lovely area, and lovely students too.
Durham is lovelier though, and has lovelier people too.
Yeah Justin Craig. I had skipped more or less a whole term and needed to catch up and they actually did a really good job teaching me literally everything over 2 days!
And no HMK I did not see Aula (I don't think so anyway!), but I will take your word for it that she is really really really strange
Just got my offer from Durham- over the moon! But didn't get into Hatfield, got put into Collingwood instead.. Does anyone know if this is a good thing? Bad? I know nothing about Collingwood, just that it's on the hill which I didn't want..

Congrats! I've heard lots of good things from Collingwood, although I dont know too much about it. A few of my friends who applied wanted to go to Collingwood to, so it sounds quite popular.
Lost all my faith in the durham admissions process after a few of mate were rejected with incredible CVs and grades to match...all boils down to the fact that they aren't english. Smeh...Ireland has better universities

Woohoo, thanks for saying so I got the worst interview ever yesterday and I'm French. Rejection is coming ... (How long are they to send rejection by the way ?)
