University of Leicester accommodation advice

Hello everybody!
I have just received a conditional offer to study law at UOL. I started doing research on different types of accommodation and can't seem to figure out which are the best. Would you have any advice? Oadby or City Living? Which halls are the nicest? The most social? Thanks for your feedback!

Congratulations on your offer :smile:

It can be a bit overwhelming when you start to look at accommodation options as there's so many to choose from. To give you a bit of general information, Oadby Student Village is located approx. 3 miles off campus, about a 15 minute bus ride away. It is exclusively 1st year accommodation and comprises of quite a few different halls of residence, and even more different room types and prices. City living is located much closer to the university, comprising of a few halls of residence, no more than a 5 minute walk from campus. There are also 360 degree online tours of our halls of residence, so you can see what the different rooms look like, and hopefully help you choose where you want to live! They can be found here https://rooms.le.ac.uk/student_portal/Search

If you ask our current students which is the best halls of residence, they all tend to say it's the one that they're living in! That's because it's a very personal choice, so I hope you find the room you're looking for.

Hi Eehsio,

Application for accommodation should open around the end of March, you will receive an email from the Accommodation office when it opens. Only students who have put Leicester as their firm choice will be able to apply for accommodation when it opens.
