Starting an internship - taxes?

So I am a student without a job, but I will be starting a 10 week paid internship over the summer.

Don't really understand the tax system so thought I'd ask here.

I was wondering if there is anything I need to do or any forms I need to fill out before I start so I won't end up on the emergency tax thing, being taxed despite being under the £11,000 annual personal tax bracket allowance, and end up having to do the whole tax rebate after.

Thanks

I'm not sure how it works for internships but I had a look at the HMRC website, it says if this is your first job you won't have a P45 so they normally would use a starter checklist to collect some information about you.

You can find the starter checklist here.
