yep  I am planning to attend their events as well...it's suppose to be better than the union's one.

I've met a few 4th and 5th medics and a dozen medics freshers in freshers meet ups, and they are certainly not 'insular' and are extremely friendly. Had a long chat with older medic undergrads about accommodation and whatever else people talk about when they don't have anything to talk about with drinks in hands.

Life will be a lot easier if people stop taking grudges because everyone is different. Just like what real1 said, make a few good medics friends and you'll be sorted.

Medics and non-medics together then! "We hate LSE!"

(We do get along, it's a joke; a tongue-in-cheek reference at the way the College and Unions are structured)

Edit: please don't take my LSE remark any further. That's a joke too.

I would never sell my soul to LSE

Doesn't really surprise me since Imperial is a science/engineering/technology college.

Looking at the participation in this thread says a lot
Medics are cool. Though, beware, medic events ARENT better than union events. Even moreso to the fact that ICSMU's saving grace, Hammy Palais has been closed down.

A lot of them do tend to stick together most of the time. To be fair, they have mostly their own events, there are a lot of them, and they are gonna be at uni for a lot longer than the rest of us, so it's worth them having medic friends for when we graduate. Having said that, a lot of my close friends are medics, and many do socialise with the rest of us! Lol

The whole medic vs non-medic thing is grossly over exagerated... to be honest most people get along fine with each other, and most medics, esp in there preclinical years, are well up for socialising with non-medics.

I would much rather be at LSE than be a medic.
LOL this is like one of those oxford cambridge arguments.
