Passport
When I submitted my student finance application, I didn't have a valid UK passport so they asked me to send my birth certificate. I now have a valid UK passport and went to enter these details online but there was no option to edit these on. Instead, they have asked me to send my original passport which I find unnecessary especially when I could just submit them online. The government website said to not send my passport but send a passport details form instead. So should I send my original passport or send a form instead?
Also, do you think if I ring them up they'll be able to enter these details online?

they may be able to change your application over the phone but its not uncommon for them to ask to see originals
