Same here
I much preferred the specimens but overall it was okay

I really hope the grade boundaries will be low

The last 6 marker was ridiculous. And the one about tests for barium, lead and iron seems impossible, even now. A couple of marks were nice but overall it just went straight over my head...
What did everyone get for the hess cycle one?

Honestly not too bad? comparing it with the awful biology at least

What last 6 marker the one about water of crystallisation?

The one for barium wasnt that just NaOH, barium sulfate and ammonia?

what did u get for the last queation, why strontium is less soluble, shouldnt it be more cause lower bond enthalpy?

and for the 6m on crystals what were the inaccuracies

Yeah I didn't get it at all

I put NaOH but i don't get why it's the other two? I thought that the question said that there had to be a positive result for each ion in all three tests

Calculations I remember:

0.15 Tonnes
Kc = 0.329
Ratio = 0.80
Hess Cycle = -61.8 (not sure)
MgSo4 LE = -2937
what did people get for the hess cycle calculation? I got -100kjmol-1

Weighing inaccuracies, reaction not gone to completion
has anyone started an unofficai mark scheme yet?
What did everyone put for the last 6 marker?I wrote about measuring mass of precipitate, the finding the moles of the precipitate and therefore the moles of MgSo4.xH2O. Then using the mass to find the molecular mass of it, minusing the molecular mass of MgSO4 and dividing by 18 to find the value of X.

Agreed. I can't decide whether it was kind of decent or just better than the disaster that from the biology yesterday :P
