You're usually given a few days paid holiday e.g. four, not a week though. if you want to go away, go before or after - it's cheaper then anyway.

You would not be looked upon too favourably, im sure they'd question how motivated you are, and how much you want the job.

Are you sure you want to go in to Banking? it sounds like you really like your social time! Well if it was me i would not bother with holiday and try and secure a job! you need to work hard and play hard and the only way i can think of this is to have very little sleep lol!

In my internship contract it specifically said that the bank "reserves the right to demand that you take any holiday during times which are convenient to the business and to this end, did not expect you to use any of the holiday entitlement during the internship period".

you will be allowed about 2 days holiday - but you would be stupid to take it as you are able to take cash for unused holiday - so thats about £350 your missing out on!

£350 for two days? £875 per week? You clearly got one of the better paying internships

Not everywhere, most don't pay you for not taking holiday. Where I interned we were allowed 4 days holiday over a 10 week internship. Got £100/day extra for not taking them. Most people took them, didn't affect them getting offers. Probably not worth doing unless you're assured you'll have a full-time offer.
