Got a few questions...
1. is the uni good?
2. anyone studying law or starting the uni in september this year (2017)?
3. which accommodation do people recommend?
5. do you have to stay in halls?
6. is there any accommodation you can stay in in your first year that is close to the city centre and shops (supermarkets, clothes shops etc)?
Hey, so I'm just ending first year, and have a friend doing law in her final year, she seems to enjoy it, though obviously it's a lot of work no matter what subject :biggrin:
I love the uni and only have a positive opinion on it. If you want accommodation closer to the city centre, then I would recommend the Gerald Manley Hopkins Halls, but they're on the Creative Campus rather than Hope, so you'd be travelling over for all your lectures. That being said, I love those halls, as I am a creative student, and it's become one of my favourite places.
Creative students tend to get priority, but you'd be able to apply there if you felt you wanted to be closer. It's then a 15-20 minute walk down to town and by far the closest to shops and things with a Lidl 5 minutes down the road you save so much money.
