For anyone thinking of studying computer science here, this is something to keep in mind, it might be a good or bad thing in your mind.

I've learnt almost nothing on this course, it's easy almost to the point of being patronizing. That doesn't mean people don't struggle, as no prior knowledge is needed to enter onto the foundation course, however some who took A levels and those that know what they're doing feel the same.

Compared to other university courses, this does not compare at all in difficulty. My mate studying electrical engineering at bath has around 20something hours. Around 12 is scheduled but because of cancellations, etc.., it ends up being around 10.

Other computer science courses teach plenty of advanced math for those who want to do further study, on this course math is avoided like the plague, and this will most likely hold me back.

However, the staff (bar a few) are very nice, very helpful, and the library contains good books where you might actually learn something.

Is it really that bad? I have been offered a place there this year :/
