I have applied for adult nursing and have got all my offers. After carrying out a placement week in a hospital I have now realised it is a lot different to what I expected and want to apply to do a marketing degree. Is this possible?

You would need to decline all your offers and go through extra or clearing and see if your course is available to apply through there. You need to make sure you meet the entry requirements for marketing.

Just out of curiousity, did you not need to do the work experience for Nursing before applying? Most universities expect you to do a few days of work experience for healthcare professions prior to applying...

I wrote on my personal statement that I had a work placement sorted, and still got invited to interviews (I am aware that isn't the case for everyone) and thank you!

Have you accepted any offers via Track?
If not -
Do any of the universities in your initial 5 choices offer a marketing course that you would like to apply to instead?
If so then ring up those universities and explain the situation and ask if they can reconsider you for marketing instead. They may ask for a new PS so be ready to send them one directly.

If you don't fancy any of your current choices for marketing then look on UCAS course search to find courses that are open in Extra, ring up the universities to check that they are genuinely open (lots of universities are rubbish at keeping their records up to date) and do some research to decide which of your possible choices is your favourite. Decline all your offers on Track and add your favourite choice through Extra.
