Living in London: E1 (Aldgate East) Area

Hey Folks,

So, I am moving to a place 7 minutes away from Aldgate East and was wondering if people could comment on the area itself. I will be right beside brick lane for those of you who know the area well enough. It is very cheap (around 140 ppw) compared to the places I have seen closer to the Centre (200 ppw) and that is a lot of money when you are staying somewhere for a year. Anyways, any comments on stuff such as safety, noise, cool/****ty neighborhood would be appreciated! Cheers!

Amik.

Not the area I would pick to live in London, simply based on crime/gang levels haha, but then I live in Islington so not really that better.
Just get to know the local gangs and I'm sure you won't get stabbed as quick as you would if you didn't.
Good luck tehe
