Have anybody bought alcohol or entering bookies/casino on their birthday?I

I am an international student from Hong Kong. I entered a bookies in HK on my 18th birthday a security staff at the entrance wished me a happy birthday when she looked at my date of birth on the ID card.

I came here to study soon. On my 19th birthday I was in a casino. The cashier staff noticed that it was my birthday again and wished me as well.

However on my 23rd birthday I entered in a Gala Bingo Club. I forgot to bring my membership cards. When I showed my driving licence at reception the staff did not greet me that time......

So I wondered if I buy alcohol / age-restricted products on my birthday will I get greeted by the cashier staff. If I tell the staff it's my birthday and request him/her to greet me will they do so? Just wonder if any one here works in supermarket and you notice it's customer birthday will you guys bless him / her a "happy birthday".......

Sorry to ask you about this but my birthday is on holiday which every student leaves the campus.

I got wished a happy birthday when I went to Nandos before going to the cinemas with a film, since I fancied a cider. I can't guarantee people will notice, they only likely said it to me as it was my 18th and the cashier had to work out if I was old enough. It will all likely depend on the person.
