122's for Mopeds, so don't worry about htat.

I think I must've ticked the box that said "Do you need support fro your eyes" when sending off for a lisence.

That must be why - I never ticked that box, because at the time, I didn't need glasses. Turns out I did later on (especially as there was more than a year until I applied for my license and passed, as I didn't start learning until about 6 months after I was 17)

:wavey: well I haven't got glasses and booked my test :s: woops. now I think I better get some...just in case to have them there in case for some reason I can't read it! I firstly went to D&A have a prescription from them but their glasses are so expensive. Can I bring my prescription to Specsavers and get glasses from them instead does anyone know?
Also I never wrote I needed support fro my eyes in my form for provisional? DO I just say I've had a change to my health and need glasses when I sign the decleration form or whatever it is on the day? But oh yeah they exclude short/long sightedness for support for eyes on the form for prov dont they?

Yeah you can take your prescription anywhere to get your glasses or contas.

I can't imagine ever being stopped by the police for not wearing glasses, because most of the time I wear contacts! And probably will for the test, as I much prefer them to glasses. If you're going to get stopped it's more likely because of soething else you've done wrong, like driving erratically, or speeding, not automatically becase they notice you're not wearing glasses.

very true yeah ;yes; just in case though cus when I do get my licence I don't wanna lose it/get points for something that is easily done, dont care if people laugh at my glasses when I'm driving :p:.

The police in my area do occasionally have "random eyesight tests" where they set up a road block type thing and make you read the plate on their car, 20.5m away. One person recently couldn't read it until he was 8 metres away from the car!!

There's a lot of theorisong on this thread.

The question is, why would anyone want to drive if they had any doubts about their vision. I have glasses for driving and nothing else.
