Pesto - red, green any pesto - euurrrgghh!!!

Anything drenched in pesto. I like it in small amounts, but not loads!

Uch what has happened 2 tinned macaroni these days? It all tastes like tapioca...and THAT makes me feel sick. Also...pasta salad from tesco has a WEIRD after taste which makes them all taste the same.

Llyod Grossman sauces are disgusting. I had a tomato one a few years ago and the texture was all lumpy and vile.

I agree that tesco cold pasta (and any other cold pasta) is often very sweet and plastic tasting.

I must say I do like pesto - but not too much as its very strong

The ragu for kids sachet's of sauces are truely vile, in fact regular ragu is vile now too since they changed the recipe.

I like the lloyd grossman tomato and mascerpone sauce actually and my mum loves the thai green curry one.

I bought 2 jars of the bolognese sauce a few weeks ago...it wasn't too nice. I have a feeling the other jar is going to be in the cupboard for a while...

Pasta is awesome!!! #excited#

But my mum ruined a dish by overcooking it and overloading it with pure chinese chilli pepper. :afraid:

I once used a Sainsburys own brand of red pesto, but think they used yellow peppers in it as well. I literally couldn't eat it, and I considered taking it back to the shop! Never again! Still love normal red pesto though!

Is it me or is every shop-bought tomato sauce completely disgusting? If not please recommend one!

I always thought the little dolmio ones in plastic pots were nice - haven't had one for years though...

Reply 31

I never tried tin pasta...until today! (I was feel very lazy)

It would have been tasty if it wasn't so sloppy!

i really love the Homepride creamy tomato and Herb pasta bake. its really nie and doesnt take long, especially if you cook the pasta first, heat the sauce up, mix them together in a dish and cover it with cheese, then put it in the oven until the cheese is bubbling.. mmm!

I just had a Lidl pasta sauce. It was awful.

Reply 34

My sister made macaroni one time with so much cheese in it, the sauce was really orange and practically solid

Marscapone sauce that ASDA do, absolutely revolting, the best pasta dish I have ever had was at carluccios (girlfriends 17th birthday), spaghetti with mussels and chilli.

Anything my school cooked.

I had the most horrible pasta dish in a bar one time. It was a chain, like a Wetherspoons (but not 'spoons of course). It was with 'Roast Vegetables', which were disgusting, flavourless and slightly frozen and drenched in pesto and olive oil. And it had loads of olives in as well, which I really don't like and was definitely not on the menu!

Frankie and Benny's penne pasta with chicken and pepperoni - had it once and it was quite nice, the second time it was vile and dripping in grease.

anything with seafood
