Are ghost flatmates common? You know, the flatmate you spoke to once when you just moved in then never saw again.

I had a ghost flatmate once out of 4 years in student accommodation. My partner had one ghost flatmate in 4 years as well.

I have seen a few actually, I remember wolfman.

He had a fully Hornby train set in his room.

Never had one. they are much more preferable than trouble causing flatmates. Some people are shy and introverted. i wouldnt have a problem with it. I wouldnt like the flatmates who have no interest in being part of the flat though when you make the effort to include them.
