I can't join them.. I'm not dressed, no make-up or anything LOL and these are not people I know very well yet!

I'll get them back!! Maybe in the first thing in the morning I'll stick my music on full volume
Reply 5

...and im shattered and want my sleep! its been a long day!
Get some earplugs ;yes;
Reply 8
People on the floor below me think its acceptable to play music full blast until 4.30am:smile:

Getting 'revenge' is just childish...they're not being malicious; they're doing what young uni students do best!

Go out and join the damned party  Nobody will mind your hastily put on makeup!
Reply 10
You are at uni, right?
It's a sad day in life if you can't face others without make up. What are you waiting for? Get out there and say hi!
Reply 12
Get a balaclava so nobody can see your post-make-up face (no offence) and sleep infront of the fridge. Problem solved.

Get a balaclava and a baseball bat.

As it's (probably) Freshers week, then ear plugs are probably the best bet if you really need your sleep (I can empathise).

After Freshers, you may want to compare subjects/timetables, and work out a compromise. Last year there were a couple of lads in my flat who were friends with people from another flat. We compromised by saying that they could make a mess of the kitchen (sorry, I mean 'cook') etc. until 11pm (time after which halls are supposed to be quiet where I am), and then they went to the other flat. If this didn't happen, they knew that I'd have the radio on for my 6 am starts

It's a bit early for :banghead: , and the radio idea is usually only worth it after you've made friends/discussed why you need sleep.

That's not acceptable. Was there not an agreement about noise, etc when you signed the contract?
Reply 16
Do you have night wardons or anything you can complain to about noise?
Reply 17
OP you could always shop them to the police next time they do it :hubba:
Don't be a cowardly custard, though. If noise in uni halls is bothering anyone here you must first talk to the noise-makers themselves. The porters won't be too happy if you creep off/moan to them before having confronted the noise-makers yourself. Be mature about it, that's all I'm saying. And also, things calm down more often than not after Freshers'.

She's not living in halls. She's living in a flat with 3 other students. I say she gets on her mobile and makes an anon call to the police  If my new flatmates turn out to be noisy bastards I will not hesitate to anon shop them
