I'm really torn between CSM and Kingston art foundations, I feel at Kingston you'll get more tutor time etc, and the uni it self had a nice feel, but CSM is CSM, and I would like to do my degree there and I feel it would be a slight mistake to reject the CSM foundation (haven't got it yet) but I think I might get it, and the decesion would be really hard... Any advice?

I would really recommend writing out a list of pros and cons for each university. Really think about what each university has to offer in terms of what you'd be learning in your first year, and how you'd be supported etc. I would definitely try and not make your decision based off of the prestige/ranking/name of the university. Which, I know it can be hard.

Have you visited CSM at all? What were your thoughts? I'm personally going to be going to Kingston, although I'll be doing a different course. I have been in contact with quite a few students from Kingston, and they'll all been really positive and enthusiastic about what the place has to offer.

"Kingston University has been named among the top 100 institutions in the globe for art and design education in the prestigious annual QS World University Rankings – and rated as a top performing international university in six other areas. The newly-released 2017 QS subject league tables ranked the University's art and design offering in the 51-100 band worldwide, placing it among the top five per cent globally and the best 25 in Europe." - http://www.kingston.ac.uk/news/artic...rt-and-design/

If you can, try and get in contact with one of the tutors from each of the courses and speak to them about it. (Get in touch with the Admissions department via email if you can't find an email for them on the website). Also, have you viewed any videos about the two courses? Or even finding videos of the Arts courses either University has to offer, to really give you a feel? I felt like these really helped me.

I have been too CSM yeah, twice, I think the whole building and area is just sick, but I hear a lot of mixed reviews on the foundations, about tutor and student ratio, it's just tough situation. Which course have you applied for? Kingston I did like, the area etc was also nice, but just a bit outside central I suppose which can be a con.

I have looked a lot at the CSM videos etc, and it portrays it obviously in a great light, and initially at the start of the year I wanted to go nowhere but CSM, but upon looking at other places, especially Kingston for foundation, it's left me in a dillemma, I obviously haven't received an offer as of yet from CSM, but I'm almost certain I should get it cause of the amount of students they take on.

I hear Kingston is a lot harder to get into, so I was chuffed about that, I want to specialise in fashion design menswear, and CSM is number one in the world for fashion, so I suppose a pro for CSM in that aspect. Just a very tough decesion for me haha...
