I was just wondering if anyone had advice on how to revise for english language at a level, apart from remembering the theorists . I feel like I need to do something extra to get that A I just don't know what.

If you know how to structure an argument well, all you need are key dates and thinkers.

i.e. Howard Giles - Accommodation Theory - 1973. Link it to divergence or convergence, link that to occupational lexis or social class. If you know one relevant date, thinker and point, you can structure an argument that can last two sides of A4.

Also, if you need to know how to structure something. Remember to: make a point, provide evidence with dates and thinkers, explain it, analyse effects, counter argue it, give examples and conclude it
