I was wondering if anyone could help me as I'm having difficulty with the correct way of structuring my essay for a claim in tort for psychiatric harm.

Currently I have:

Duty of care -> breach of that duty -> Caparo's three stage test -> Causation and then I was going to proceed onto medically recognised psychiatric harm and the primary and secondary victim.

is this correct as I am getting confused whether or not I have to establish the duty of care and causation? any help would be greatly appreciated.

i think moving straight onto the recognised psychiatric illness and Alcock test for primary/secondary victim is fine

but if its negligently inflicted psychiatric injury then there's no harm mentioning negligence as well cause normal rules of negligence still apply
