Hi everyone. Ive been accepted onto the BTEC national diploma level 3 in engineering (120 credit), however due to my age (25) i have to pay for the course. The college is wanting £8000!! just so i can study 12 units in 1 year which i think is ridiculous. Is anyone else the same age as me or older in the same situation and if so how much did you have to pay? The units i will study are:

Unit 1 – Health & Safety

*Unit 4 – Maths for Technicians

*Unit 10 – Eng Materials

*Unit 15 – Electro-pneumatics & Hydraulics

*Unit 17 – Computer Aided Draughting

*Unit 23 – Welding Technology

Unit 34 – Electronic Circuit Design & Manufacture

Unit 5 – Mechanical Principles

Unit 6 – Electrical & Electronic Principles

*Unit 2 – Communications for Technicians

*Unit 3 – Engineering Project

According to the tutor one of the units is two units really.
