Boyfriend and his ex-crush

Ok so I've been with my boyfriend for 4 months...3 of which i was out of the country. Before I even knew him he was like best friends with one of my good friends and she was always talking about this girl he liked. Anyway fast-forward maybe a month and me and him are together but just last week i was with him and he got a message on his phone and read it but said nothin- like usually he would say "oh its just so and so", anyway later that day we were both in uni studying and arranged to meet up when he'd finished...later on when he was out of the room i did the worst thing ever and looked at the message and it was from the girl asking to meet up with him and more arranging the times and thats where he'd been right before we met up....like I know it's stupid and I DO trust him but is it weird that he wouldn't just tell me he was meeting her..??? I know I was wrong to look at his phone...

He probably feels that you'd be upset or feel awkward about him meeting up with a girl who you know the 'history' of? I wouldnt let him know that you read his messages (not that lying's ever good, but some get v tetchy with that!) - (that said, most guys probably expect girls to look at their texts though! I know i do!)

If you really want him to tell you, maybe just ask what he's up to that night when it gets closer to the time - but other than that, I'd leave it and just trust his judgement :smile:

Agh! If it was innocent why wouldn't he tell you? Don't leap to any conclusions. But if my boyfriends arranged to meet a girl he had a crush on without telling me...there would be trouble

Well, ask him! It's so easy for things to get blown hugely out of proportion and cause real problems in the future. I have to say, I'd expect a VERY good explanation though.

Ask him what his plans are later/whenever he is supposed to be meeting the girl, and see what he says.

Don't jump to conclusions though, yes it looked bad but it doesn't mean he is going to cheat on you!

He probably didnt tell you BECAUSE it was his EX-crush. See what happens.
