Rebuilding trust

My boyfriend and I have been together for nearly 2 years, we've survived a 4,000 mile long distance relationship for the first year and now we're 84 miles apart in both in our final year of university. The pressure and stress of our degrees is really getting to us. We hardly see one another and when we talk all we seem to do is feud about the silliest of things. The worst disagreement centred around him telling me that I say "I love you" too much and that it makes it sound un genuine. Ever since then I've had difficulty trusting him and being able to move on even though he's apologised. Does anyone have any suggestions for rebuilding trust between us? I have no idea what to do to try and make things better.

Thank you
Maybe you should break up for the time being. You guys should finish your degrees and then see what state of mind you are in afterwards. Then re-evaluate the relationship and see if you want to try again

If that is not an option: Trust Fall?
