Sleeping with gay best friend.

Hi, I wanted to stay anonymous,

Im a girl, and have a close best friend, who is a gay guy. A few months ago, we ended up going to a party and we both got drunk and started fooling around, and since then, we haven't stopped. He's definitely gay, has had boyfriends in the past, and is out to everyone, but he says I'm the only girl he's attracted to. He's worried that people might think he's been lying about being gay, and I'm worried that I'll get hurt (coz I seriously like him), and he's v good looking. It's all a complete mess, non of my friends know about it. The sex is amazing, and I just don't want to give it up, what should we do?

Seems he's not gay, he's bi. Simple as that.
Maybe he's bisexual
He could have been wrong
I personally am a lesbian but I wont deny the possibility that i could fall for a guy

Also, I dont belive that anyone is entirely straight or entirely gay. People are PREDOMINANTLy homosexual or PREDOMINANTLY heterosexual.

My story is fairly complicated but maybe it will help
Just over 2 years ago, I fell i love with a girl at school. We had a relationship that lasted 3 weeks but I didn't stop loving for over 2 years.
A few months after we split up (we've stayed good friends) My ex girlfriend came out as transgendered. He is physically female vut mentally male, and it wasn't long beore he looked male too. For over a year, I say him as nothing but male, yeat I still loved him.

This proves to me that love knows no gender. That works any which way. Love is not chosen, and can come and suprise you at any time

Hope this helps
xx

Sounds to me like he's just on the gayer end of bi. If it's working for both of you, why not? Just like some "straight" people eventually have to admit they got it wrong, some "gay" people do to.

I can see why he would be worried about his reputation though, and it would be difficult to suddenly come out and say "whoops, I don't just like boys, I actually do like a few girls too". If you really like each other, it might have to come to that. Otherwise, just, um... enjoy the sex while it lasts and try not to get too emotionally attached.

he's probably Bi but has never fallen for a girl, therefore thinking himself gay, i dont think his friends would think him a liar just a little confused in his sexuality, have fun with it!

As a 23yr old quasi bi virgin who struggles to get taken seriously by either side of the sexual equation, I find the whole gay/str8 dichotomy annoying and tiresome. It's a social construct IMHO, in Roman times ppl used to swing both ways with no issues whatsoever
Does he do you up the arse?

Yeah they also used to crucify people for stealing chickens, middle aged men used to shag teenage boys and you could choose your wife (with no issues whatsoever)

Look, neither of you should box him into this 'gay' category. He doesn't have to be completely monosexual. You like who you like, gender is not the be-all and end all. He likes you, you like him, go for whatever you want to do.

Damn the sexuality apartheid. Try reading some Foucault.

what? no. i'm entirely straight. i think i'm pretty clued up about my own sexuality thanks.

and on the love thing, there are all kinds of love. if we're talking about romantic type love, i think it does know gender quite well. other types of love, yes, it knows no gender. i agree.

op, it's a bad idea. you know it is. listen to your head is my advice.
Go for what you want, assuming he wants it too.

He can just tell people he's bi, not gay

I'll never know why people post these things on TSR. Look at the debate - its been about whether the guy is bi or what not. I really don't understand, he's gay, you're a woman, you're having sex - you're enjoying it, presumably he is - why is this on TSR? If we all said you should never touch him again are you seriously going to listen? The fact is, it's probably going to end roughly - if the guy is stating he's gay, where can this go exactly? You could just both move to Iran...

Plain and simple: He is NOT gay.

Gay men do not tend to sleep with women. End of.

Maybe, as has been said, he is Bi.

I understand what you are saying, but surely the 'definition' of his sexuality should be left up to him. If she is actually the only female he is attracted too I hardly think he would sit comfortably in the 'bi' category.

Are you particularly manly looking? Because that may have something to do with it.

But yeah, maybe he's just testing the waters as it is, to see if he likes girls as much as he does boys. It's like how straight people experiment sometimes, maybe he's doing the same

And this is why people should see sexuality as spectrum rather than just gay/bi/straight. He's somewhere in between gay and bi. Kinsey Scale, anyone?
God enough of the "strap on" and "manly looking" stuff, tis mean, she came here for advice, not to get taught karma sutra lessons.

OP, I would have a good talk with him and really try to find out where his sexuality lies, if he is having a sexual relationship with you, he must find you attractive so probably is bisexual rather than gay. But again, its something you need to talk to together to know where you stand.
