Anyone else get their results without an envelope??

when i got my results for GCSEs and AS's in Jan this year they came without an envelope... is this normal? i felt almost cheated, like someone from my school had read the results before me.

i was looking forward to the whole "opening of the envelope" on GCSE results day, but it never actually happened.

maybe i'm looking too much into it, but i just wanted 2 know if anyone else gets their results without the envelope?

thanks in advance

I don't get an envelope either, but the results are posted on a board and so everyone can see them anyway.

i'd hate that to happen for GCSEs/A Levels.. i know they do it at uni though.

i prefer it in an envelop. random teachers/pupils won't be able to sneek a peak before i can.

Oh come on, of course the school read your results before you do! They get the results delivered as a pile of sheets of paper from each exam board, so they have to go through putting together each pupil's results into envelopes. That's why you normally can't go in till 10 even though the school get the results till 9, they have to spend an hour or so organising each person's results.

Last year when I went in to get my GCSE Short Course ICT one, they just had the pile of result sheets from OCR on the desk and looked through for each person's when they came, I could even see other people's grades. I feel sorry for the person on top, got a D or something I think, lol.

I didn't think anyone got them in an envelope?! I've never had the privelage of opening results, they are just thrust in front of you so you can see instantly what you've got.

Yeah, some schools might be extra cheap and just sit there with the two (or three) piles of results from different exam boards and dig out the relevant ones just when you come along, so you can even see the results of the person on the top of the pile! And instead of getting nice envelopes you just get given a few sheets.
I don't get an envelope- which is just as well as I think if you were given them in an envelope you'd have that second right in the moment, where everything stops and you realise how badly you want these grades. And then.... oh shit!

Not having them in an evelope means you just fold open and it is a quick, instantaneous rush and adrenaline driven process.

yes, nice and quick  if i got them in an envelope i'd probably not open it for ages and prolong the tension...

we've never got ours in an envelope.

but last year at AS they screwed up the english results because the top sheet of our results papers were an Edexcel result sheet when we did AQA... all i could see was this big X  but then turned the page and there were the proper results. actually; i suppose that is kinda like an envelope cos our results werent actually on show

for january modules if we get 100 the teachers just tell us anyway before we can officially collect them
Ours always come in envelopes. It's horrible, your fingers start trembling before you open it. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Just made myself more nervous, dammit.

we were made to self-address an envelope before we went on study leave for gcse......and magically, on the 20whatever of august, my results appeared in that self-same envelope! so cruel aren't they....

i'm actually quite worried that they won't put them in an envelope for us....i just assumed they did...i couldn't bear being given a sheet of paper i didn't want to look at
yeah i self addressed envelope last yr for gcse too. this year we havent tho. i presume they will be in an envelope :s
i like the envelope as u can not look for a while if ur scared, or open them away from any1 else or sneakily peek at the 1st result  its just cool in envelope.

My results come in an envelope, but they're not the official results slips- all modules and subject results are summarised on a single college-headed sheet of paper. Does anybody else get results like this?

They do come in an envelope, and you can request the official statements of results if you require them, so it doesnt bother me that I don't have to look through loads of sheets trying to decipher the results I'm looking for. In fact, I'm impressed that they manage to collate all the results and print these results sheets in time to give out A2 results at 10am (I'm getting AS, so it's not until 11!), especially given our 2500+ full time A-level students...

I dont understand how they manage not to make any mistakes though- with so many results you would expect them to make at least 1 typo, which a university place could depend on. Somebody might not realise that they hadn't met an offer, and then they'd be in big trouble, but apparently that doesnt happen else they wouldnt give out the results like this.

Yes, I got both my GCSEs and AS Levels without an envelope too. Thething is you can actually see what you have got before the teacher has even handed it to you!
