Don't want to hide anything
I am meeting an old male aquaintance tomorrow for a coffee. He told me fancies me but I said no as I'm in a relationship. I only wanna see how he's doing as he's a nice person. I am not a cheat and don't fancy him so have absolutely no intention of cheating. Thing is my boyfriend is insecure when I see my best male friend on my own but does trust me. I don't want to tell him about the coffee but then if this guy comes into my life again it could become awkward to explain how he came back.

If I were you I'd be honest with your boyfriend - if he trusts ypu 100% as he says he does then there shouldn't be a problem. Lying to him about it will only make him think that you've got something to hide.
