The Student Room Group

medicine A100 cambridge university

can someone explain to me how the first 3 pre clinical years and the last 3 clinical years are connected??? If you are accepted to the medicine A100 program (which is always described as a 6 year course) are you assured a place for the whole 3 years or do you have to reapply for the last 3 clinical years?

I read somewhere that in the clinical years there is only room for half of the undergraduates present in the pre clinical years. is it true? what happens to the other half which isn't admitted to the 3 clinical years??

thanks!
It used to be the case that half the year went to London for the last 3 years.

That has now changed - it is a straight 6 year course as the website says.
