Denmark has become the latest country to basically ban Muslims. Although Muslims can still enter the country temporarily for a holiday, it is virtually impossible for them to become a citizen there as a Muslim. Hungary, Slovakia and Poland have also implemented a similar setup (Slovakia even going as far as banning Islam as a religion completely), so this seems to be a growing trend.

To liken Denmark's policies to the kind of Muslim ban Trump is talking about is moronic and offensive. It's hard for anyone to get citizenship in Denmark, especially compared to citizenship here for example - you have to have lived there for 8 years, learned Danish (which they pay for over the first 3 years you live there), and most importantly you have to denounce your home citizenship as they won't give dual. They only want people who really want to BE Danish and integrate completely into Danish society, which makes sense because of their high tax levels and welfare policies. Considering a lot of non-religious Danes still go to the Danish church to show respect for their culture/tradition I can't imagine many Muslims wanting to embed themselves into Denmark in the way that is required. I also think it's useless to compare asylum levels with much bigger countries like Germany, Denmark is a small country with a tiny population in comparison. Sweden lets anyone in as well.
