I shadowed a lawyer for two weeks. Work was pretty arbitrary, often clerical (filling and checking page numbers is an excellent time-wasting activity ) although he gave me several case files on arbitration and criminal cases, was quite interesting, and it seemed that my 'employer' was quite impressed with my questions.
I asked him if he could help me write a reference for my university applications (might be handy). He, to my surprise, told me that I should write it, then give it to him to edit and then sign (either he is too busy and can't be bothered, or he thinks i have a good shot to sell myself). Anyone here can give me a hand in this 'touchy' task? I want to show my strengths (e.g. inqusitive, patient [at times of no work hehe], analytical), yet I don't want to be too flashy and 'backfire' (employee thinks I'm arrogant and full of ********).

After knowing [insert your name here] for the past 2 weeks i have concluded that he must in fact be the second coming of the son of God. These suspicions started when he parted the filing cabinets, walked on paper and turned the contents of the water dispenser into lemonade. My suspicions increased when twelve of my staff took to following him around and hanging on his every word.
With the obvious proof of God that this brings i feel that it is a necessity to allow Jesus II (The revenge) to study law at our fine establishment in order to start compiling a legal case against Lucifer.

    You are SO 'funny'

    1) You don't write your own references. That would defeat the point of having them.

    2) The reference on your UCAS form is supposed to be written by a teacher, not an employer.

But you can attach additional references?
