Hospitality management and work placement

Is it possible to apply for a work placement abroad? or is London and uk in general the only option? If it is, what's the process?

Hi @nicolevs,

You are free to apply to any job across the globe for your placement. Students are in charge of securing their own job for the industrial placement year, but they will receive advice from their placement tutor and/or the Careers service.

Please be aware that if you are applying for a job overseas that you may be required to get a visa, as well as the cost of flights, accommodation etc. If you are studying in the UK on a visa and want to get a job elsewhere in the world then this may affect your visa status, so you should discuss it with our Visa team (in the Student Services centre on campus) before arranging it as you may have to get a placement in the UK to fulfil your visa requirements.
