In terms of cost; Compare the accommodation options at each university, how expensive are they in comparison to one another? Think about what sort of things you spend your money on at the moment. How much shopping do you do? How much do you go out? How much do you spend on clothes? Being a student is expensive regardless of what university you go to. Really think about how you would budget the money you have.
Each university typically has a resource in regards to managing your money whilst you are studying there;

Also consider looking up travel websites / guides they can typically talk about the cost of attractions, food places etc.

As for student life & nightlife -
Look at the societies that each university has to offer. Go onto their Facebook pages and see how active they are - what sort of events are they doing? Does it cost money to attend these events? Look around their Student Union website to see what sort of things you can expect to do

Coventry - https://www.cusu.org
Birmingham - https://www.bcusu.com
Northumbria - https://www.mynsu.co.uk
Don't be afraid to message societies at each university asking questions. I done this, and found it so useful! Ask them about the nightlife in the area, what the university is like, what the area is like etc. It also puts you into contact with current students, which can be useful.

I have personally been on nights out in Manchester a few times. There are so many places to go on nights out, and some of them are relatively inexpensive. If you like indie music, there are indie clubs like 42s and indie nights such as Smiths disco. London has an incredible nightlife, but it can be extremely expensive. London and Manchester are both brilliant in terms of gigs, if you enjoy live music, then those are definitely good places to go. I don't have any knowledge of the nightlife in Coventry, Birmingham or Northumbria unfortunately. There are some guides for you to look over though;

Try and not let the nightlife of a city influence you too much though!

Think of each university individually -
Are there any modules unique to this course, that you'd be interested in studying?
Are there any mandatory modules that you really don't think you'll enjoy?
What about placement / work experience opportunities?
What are your thoughts on the department's facilities?
What are your thoughts on the societies on offer there? - How active are they?
How expensive is the accommodation there? - Is that an issue for you?
Is there anything unique to that university that you're interested in?
Think about the area - what amusements (theatres,cinemas,museums) are there, that you're interested in? Are there any festivals/fairs that you'd like to go to? If you like gigs - how many times to big bands come to play there?
How expensive is the area to live?

Have you compared the three using Unistats? - http://unistats.direct.gov.uk

Have you looked at The Complete University's Guide to each University? I found this so useful:
London Met - https://www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/london-metropolitan/
Manchester Met - https://www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/manchester-metropolitan/
Coventry - https://www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/coventry/
Birmingham City - https://www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/birmingham-city/
Northumbria - https://www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/northumbria/

The guide is really useful because it talks about: History of the university, location and transport, entry requirements, student mix (gender, ethnicity, level and mode of study), course flexibility, teaching standards, research standards, academic strengths, student facilities, disability services, student union, work availability, career's guidance, new/prospective builds, and notable alumni. There's also a pages on reviews, international students, league table performance, living here, fees and finance, and sport.

Also consider asking the universities any (and every) question you have. If you can't find the contact details of your particular department, then send an email to the Admissions department, which will forward the message on.
