Hiya! I'm starting my English coursework soon, and as such, I need a topic about language used. However, I'm really unsure about it. Ideally, I want to do something with the language used, such as political correctness (or lack thereof) or language used by class, ethnicity, gender etc, in Red Dwarf, a sitcom I'm currently in love with. Any ideas?

I don't have any specific ideas. But I did my coursework on gender and their use of swearing, profanity and expletives. I looked into which gender swore more and what could that mean. I used Celebrity Big Brother (when Lee from Blue, Dappy from N-Dubz and Louisa from The Apprentice) were on the reality show. It was really fun and interesting to look into how swearing is used in different circumstances; i.e, joking, anger, talking about sex and in everyday conversation.
