Natural face

Does anyone else have this problem? I don't think anyones natural relaxed face is a fixed smile, mine ceratinly isn't but becasue of that everyone thinks i'm really grumpy and threrefore unapproachable, i can't keep a fixed smile on my face all the time, but with a normal relaxed expression i can't not look grumpy. People are always asking me what the matter is when there is nothing at all wrong. It makes it really difficult when i'm trying to make friends.

Don't worry - I have the same problem sometimes. It just means you're a 'serious person'. That doesn't mean you're not an interesting person. Just talk to the right sort of people and you'll be fine.

I'm like that too! people always think i'm moody and tell me to cheer up, especially when i'm tired. my face is like (¬_¬)

you can't really do anything about it, just make sure the tone of your voice ain't grumpy...

Sadly my natural face is constantly a smile :smile:

It meant when i was younger and getting yelled at they always used to say stop grinning... i wasn't lol

Yeah I've been told that I always look pissed off. I have to explane that is the way I look. My mother often tells me to 'smile', which makes me look even more pissed. Blah.

Your not alone.
I have the same thing, most people do. Our neutral face looks bit unhappy. Some people just look really, really unhappy.

As soon as I read this thread it reminded me of my walk home from school the other day, where this builder said to me: "Cheer up love, college isn't that bad" because I was carrying my folder and I had what I thought was a neutral expression on my face. :p:

Hehe same problem, I'm a grumpy facer.

I probably get away with it more being a bloke, but there are some people who tell me I scare them until I smile.

I know what you mean. People always think they're boring me because my natural face is 'indifferent' rather than a beaming smile.
I wish I looked more naturally happy but trying to keep a natural smile playing on my face all the time is so tiring.

my natural face is like a little pout, so my friends make fun of me for always pouting and posing when i dont!! soooo annoying lol
