doesn't look like a doctor, more like a patient lol

If they're overbooked obviously they should take him out of the plane

If a private company drags you off the plane you have paid to travel on because they deliberate overbook to maximise profits then who are you to complain? Nothing to see here, move along.

He apparently ran back onto the plane bloodied and a bit confused

This is the kind of overbooked when United wanted to have 4 of their own employees to be on the plane suddenly.

I believe it is the violence with which they go about it. They are acting like bouncers.

Why were they allowed to board, anyway? If they are overbooked, why not turn passengers away before boarding?

United Airlines are a bunch of *****. They can go :dolphin::dolphin::dolphin::dolphin: themselves. Their service is terrible anyway coupled with what they've done here, this is surely going to make waves.

Why him though ? Is it because he's Asian? And why was he let on the plane in the first place and why did the plane company suddenly decide they needed 4 people on and for the paying passengers to get out?

I am disappointed also that the black guy saw the injustice but proceeded to violently approach him anyway. Talk about a lack of POC solidarity.

This comment is all kinds of wrong.

It is United's negligence that resulted in them being overbooked, this man paid for his ticket and had a right to be on that flight. The way he was removed was sickening.

Once United realised they had :dolphin::dolphin::dolphin::dolphin:ed up and overbooked they asked for someone to volunteer to change flights, no one did, the victim couldn't because he was a doctor and was flying to perform surgery.

They then arbitrarily decided that he would be kicked off the flight regardless, and he was violently lifted from his seat, knocked unconscious (he is limp and you can see blood under his lip) and dragged along the cabin floor off the plane.

Utterly disgusting.

We can take solace in the fact that United 'played themselves'; instead of offering some other passengers suitably enticing fees to voluntarily change flights, they are now suffering a damaging PR crisis and will have a huge lawsuit to settle with the victim. Sweet sweet justice!

The United CEO has responded to the incident - and he seems to entirely miss the point.

Oscar has a rather interesting definition of "re-accommodate".
