Does Islam need a reformation?

Following all the Islamic terror attacks, its clear in my opinion that, like Catholicism in the 16th century, Islam needs to be adapted to remove the radical aspects in the Quran.

ISIS is the reformation (not a good one in case someone jumps to conclusions)
Everything said then is applicable now. Anyone that denies that is against what Islam says. I don't justify these radical actions going on rn either, but I don't believe what they're carrying out is accepted either by the majority.
Yes and it is kind of happening, some Muslims, especially in the west, are starting to take a less literalist approach to the Qur'an
Yes I think that would be a good move. I'd pick Jesuit Education; a lot of Islamic countries seem to be a bit behind in science at the moment.

What radical aspects were removed from the Bible?

Islam cannot be reformed.

It can only be rejected.

They believe the Quran to be 100% the word of God.

You can't reform something that is believed to be perfect by its followers.
Lol no.
There is no reformation of Islam. Some tried and created Wahhabism and subsequently groups like ISIS emerged.
Literalist interpretation of the Quran IS a reformation, it was never done in the past. In fact people who took literalist interpretations were denounced!
Muslims are not open to change
I think the Muslim community needs reformation, and I also think the 'alt right' needs to grow up and understand causality.
The Protestant Reformation didn't deradicalise anything and resulted in arguably the most devastating war in European history, so maybe not like that, eh? Cultural change is what's needed.
Islam is a religion of peace. ISIS is not islamic and people who have radical beliefs in general need to be reformed. If you were smart you would know Islam is a religion of tolerance and does not accept the killing of innocent people. The problem is that culture needs to change not religion. Culture is radical for example women shouldn't educate. Islam encourages women to educate. Your talking about how islam needs reforming yet America elected Donald Trump.

It doesn't need a reformation,it just needs to die.The sooner the better tbh.Primative beliefs in magic and superstition should have no place in the 21st century world.
I pity stupid people who want something beautiful to die cause they have zero understanding of it.

People who dont think it can reform dont understand differences in interpretation. Its why there is a massive difference between ISIS and "moderate" Muslims.
no islam is perfect
