Complex numbers help

Let F : C C be the function defined by F(z) = z^2
Is F
a) injective? Is it surjective?

can someone help me for the surjective part
(b) Find a number w C satisfying F(w) = 2i.

have no clue where to start for b

For both bits of this you're best off writing complex numbers in polar form.

r(cosθ+isinθ) r(\cos\theta + i \sin\theta)

or

reiθ r e^{i\theta}
